“Indeed, just so, monks, for a noble disciple, for a person endowed with right view, who has completely understood, the suffering that has been destroyed, that has been exhausted, is more; what has remained [of suffering] is insignificant. Compared to the former mass of suffering [that] has been destroyed, [that] has been exhausted, [what remains] does not even approach calculation, does not even approach a comparison, does not even approach a tiny fraction, [because] one who clearly understands as it truly is, ‘This is suffering’; [who] clearly understands as it truly is, ‘This is the origin of suffering’; [who] clearly understands as it truly is, ‘This is the cessation of suffering’; [who] clearly understands as it truly is, ‘This is the way leading to the cessation of suffering,’ [has] a maximum of seven more lives (lit: times).”
